Greet individuals, perform blood pressure screenings, repeat tests as needed for out-of-normal range findings, document results, and discuss BP result and its significance with the individual. Cycling Without Age: Become a Pilot.  Cycling without Age Marathon County is looking for volunteers that would like to learn how to pilot a trishaw (a 3-wheeled bicycle) and provide rides for seniors and other adults that cannot bicycle on their own. The next Pilot Training will be on Saturday, April 4, 2020, from 11 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Contact Halle at [email protected]. Must have a valid driver’s license. Age 16+

School Based Mentoring. Utilize the resources available at a school; computer labs, the library, the gym, a classroom, or the schoolyard. Play board games, or simply sit and talk with a “little”. Give Rides to Seniors. Faith in Action helps those in need receive rides to medical appointments or the grocery store.  If you enjoy spending time with older people and can give a few hours a month, call Jamie at 715-848-8783 or email [email protected]. Age 18+

Patriotic Blankets. Heartland Hospice gives Vietnam veteran residents a themed blanket on March 29, which is Welcome Home Vietnam Veteran’s Day. Donations would be appreciated.  Contact Amanda 715-344-4541 or [email protected].

New or Gently Used Backpacks. The Open Door assists people getting back on track after incarceration.  Often they need a place to put their belongings. Backpacks are a great help!  Contact Anne at 715-848-4044 or [email protected].
