NEWS RELEASE — As the situation surrounding the spread of COVID-19 continues to change rapidly, Wisconsin Public Radio (WPR), in partnership with American Public Media, will air two live national call-in shows addressing the pandemic on March 18 and 19 on The Ideas Network and at wpr.org from 1-2 p.m.

Hosted by Kerri Miller, “COVID 19: Hard Questions, Real Answers” will feature fact-based insights from medical and public health professionals.

On March 18, Miller will be joined by guests from the Mayo Clinic to talk about the science of treating COVID-19, the challenges medical professionals are facing, what they know about the spread, and their plans for stopping it. Public health will be the focus of the discussion on March 19 as Miller is joined by Rose Scott from station WABE in Atlanta, Ga., home of the Centers for Disease Control. Listeners can call in with their questions on both days via the toll-free number:  800-242-2828.

WPR’s daily and special coverage of the COVID-19 pandemic reflects our commitment to keeping communities informed on critical issues affecting life in Wisconsin through our broadcasts, website and fact-based journalism. All of WPR’s COVID-19 coverage can be found at wpr.org/coronavirus.
