Battery, disorderly conduct, criminal damage to property, bail jumping and possession of methamphetamine in the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department log for May 11, 2020.

Deputies along with firefighters from the DNR and town of Russell responded to a grass fire on Prairie Drive in the town of Schley Monday afternoon at 3:30 p.m. Firefighters were on the scene for about two hours. On Tuesday, deputies and firefighters from Russell and the DNR also responded to Horseshoe Lake Road after a grass fire was reported in the town of Birch at 4:30 p.m.

An 18-year-old Mosinee man will be summonsed into Lincoln County Court after a traffic stop led to drugs in the town of Scott. A trooper from the Wisconsin State Patrol initially stopped the vehicle on Highway 51 near Highway Q around noon on Tuesday. The K9 Nina was requested to the scene and when the deputy introduced himself to the driver, he voluntarily turned over substances which later tested positive for marijuana and ecstasy.

A 23-year-old Irma man was injured following a single-vehicle crash Thursday evening in the town of Harding. The crash was reported at 9 p.m. on Highway E at Burma Road. Investigation to the cause of the crash remains under investigation. 

Deputies arrested a 22-year-old Rhinelander man Friday afternoon in the town of Russell following a report of a domestic-related incident. The suspect was arrested on misdemeanor counts of battery, disorderly conduct and criminal damage to property along with felony charges of bail jumping and possession of methamphetamine. He was also charged with violating the terms of his probation.

A 41-year-old Tomahawk man was arrested on a disorderly conduct charge Saturday morning around 1:30 a.m. after deputies responded to a disturbance in the town of Bradley.

Five people reported striking deer this past week.
