A 23-year-old man is dead after a single-vehicle crash east of Wausau early Thursday, officials confirmed.
The crash was reported at about 2:30 a.m. on Hwy. 29 near Hatley. Initial reports suggest the driver, who was the sole passenger in the vehicle, veered off the highway and struck an overpass at County Hwy. Y. A section of Hwy. 29 was shut down for more than two hours after the crash but has since reopened.
The man’s name is being withheld pending notification of relatives.
No additional details about the crash have been released.
