Stevens Point police need help from the public identifying three suspects in Friday’s fatal beating that took the life of a 61-year-old man.

The victim has now been identified as Donald G. Mitchell Jr., who was a resident of the Stevens Point area. He was not known to the suspects, who allegedly assaulted him in a downtown parking lot.

Mitchell was beaten to death after an encounter with four young men from the Wausau area. One suspect, 18-year-old Christian Emerson, was ordered held on a $50,000 cash bond on Monday.

Three additional suspects are at large. Brandon L. Boehm, 21, and Arlin O. Sangster, 20, both of Wausau; and Daemon Kitzrow, 20, of Rothschild, are all wanted by police.
