Wausau Pilot & Review

Heavy snow is drifting into central Wisconsin Tuesday, prompting yet another winter weather advisory for Wausau through Wednesday morning.

Along with the snow, expect strong winds gusting up to 45 mph, producing areas of blowing and drifting snow that will complicate travel. Up to 6 inches of snow is expected in the Wausau area.

The winter weather advisory is in effect from 1 p.m. Tuesday to 1 p.m. Wednesday for Marathon, Lincoln, Oneida and Vilas Counties.

Plan on slippery road conditions that will have an impact on the Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning commutes. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches. Drivers are urged to travel with caution.
