The St. Michael Royals have won the dartball league championship for the second time in as many years, the team announced this week.

The Royals had already won the A division in the Wausau Interchurch Dartball League before heading into the League Championship Playoffs on April 8. The playoffs were held at the leagues annual banquet.

The Royals narrowly bested the C Division Champs, the Redeemer Brewers, in their first match of the day, said Mike Hofmann, president of the league. They then moved on to the championship game and were the victors over the St. Paul Hornets.

The Royals ended the regular season with a 54 and 24 record.

The league will start its 95th year in September.
