D.C. Everest Senior High School student Emma Schueller recently placed second at the HOSA State Leadership Conference held in Wisconsin Dells and will head to Houston, Texas, in late June to participate in the HOSA International Leadership Conference.

Schueller and three other DCE HOSA members competed in a series of career-themed events, and also received First Aid for Severe Trauma, or FAST, training.

The D.C. Everest Senior High HOSA-Future Health Professionals chapter, a student-led organization, is for those interested in pursuing a career in the medical field or health sciences. The mission of HOSA is to empower student members by providing them with opportunities to develop leadership skills in the global health community through education, collaboration and experience.
