WESTON – Addison Kluck struck out 12 and gave up just two hits in a five-inning complete game as the D.C. Everest softball team shut out Merrill 11-0 in a Wisconsin Valley Conference matchup Thursday at D.C. Everest High School.
Kluck did not walk a batter and the Evergreens did not commit an error behind her in the victory as they are now 4-1 overall and 2-0 in the WVC. She also went 2-for-2 at the plate with two RBI.
Caitlyn Kressel had three hits and three RBI, and Sydney Spear had a single, a triple and drove in three as well for D.C. Everest.
D.C. Everest will travel to New Richmond for a nonconference game Friday.
