WAUSAU – The Wausau West softball team won its second game in a row and for the third time in its last four games with a 12-0 nonconference shutout of Marathon on Thursday at West High School.
West scored six times in the first inning and rolled to the win, evening its season record at 4-4.
Baylen Hulstrom had two hits, two RBI and scored three times, and Grace Huggenvik knocked in three runs in the win for the Warriors.
Wausau West’s next game is Tuesday at Wisconsin Rapids.
