Riding a four game win streak, Team USA begins medal competition at the Junior Men’s World Curling Championships Friday morning  (2/23) in Lohja, Finland.

The team will play Norway at 11 am our time in a semi-final game. Denmark and Italy will slide stones against each other in the other draw. The finals and third place game will take place on Saturday.

The U.S. team is skipped by Wausau West graduate Wes Wendling and includes Jackson Armstrong, Wausau, who throws lead. Other members are Jackson Bestland and Caden Hebert of  Eau Claire and Kevin Tuma of St. Paul.

Team USA clinched its playoff spot early Thursday and then beat Switzerland 11-8 in the second game yesterday.

It finished round robin play at 6-3.
